Rep. Blumenauer Bikes to the Ballot Box

At the age of 21, Congressman Earl Blumenauer spearheaded his first campaign to expand the voting age–both in Oregon and at the national level. Today, he feels just as strongly about increasing access to this important civic duty–and at the federal level, is championing the Oregon solution of vote-by-mail to make voting simpler, more reliable, and less partisan. But even if we have the option to mail our vote in, that doesn’t mean Oregonians can’t have a little fun turning in our ballots! On Saturday, October 28th, Congressman Blumenauer rallied supporters for President Obama to ride their bikes to the ballot drop box as a visible sign of voting and democracy.
