President Obama held a summit with America’s first family of pop culture Wednesday night as Jay-Z and Beyoncé raised $4 million for the president’s re-election cause with a $40000-a-head soiree at Jay Z’s 40/40 club in Manhattan. HOVA and POTUS exchanged fond words, with Obama jokingly pointing out that he and Jay "both have daughters. And our wives are more popular than we are … so we’ve got a little bond there." Beyoncé told the 100 or so guests that the couple "believe in [the president's] vision," before presumably telling the crowd "if you like it then you should put a lavish tax-deductible donation on it." Presidential DJ Adam 12 (yes, apparently the president has a go-to DJ), aka Adam Bravin of darkwave duo She Wants Revenge, spun for the evening and commented "I know that Jay-Z and Beyoncé had gotten some flak recently for not supporting their community. I think this just goes to show that they do support their community." Yes yes, Adam, but does the president prefer Chicago house or is he more of a UK drum and bass guy?
